How Can Physiotherapy Help Shoulder Pain?
Physiotherapy aims to help relieve shoulder pain through strengthening the surrounding muscle to normalise movement. People are often surprised how quickly pain can resolve once you use the muscle effectively. If we can reduce the effort on muscles which are compensating and normalise your movement pattern this can help to reduce pain.
We also use ultrasound to aid healing (such as for rotator cuff tears), soft tissue mobilisations and joint mobilisation techniques to reduce pain.
