From Thursday 5th November we are due to enter a second lockdown in the UK.
We will continue to run our online services and face 2 face physiotherapy and hyperbaric services in Bristol and Barnstaple.
The new national restrictions state in section 4 that;
“Some venues will be allowed to remain open for specific exempt activities, like childcare and support groups. Support groups that are essential to deliver in person can continue with up to 15 participants where formally organised to provide mutual aid, therapy or any other form of support. This includes support to victims of crime, people in drug and alcohol recovery, new parents and guardians, people with long-term illnesses, people facing issues relating to their sexuality or gender, and those who have suffered bereavement.”
“Medical and health services can keep running”
We advise all of our clients to read the recent guidance available on the government website: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/new-national-restrictions-from-5-november. Within this guidance people living with chronic neurological and health conditions, such as MS, MND, Parkinsons, Asthma or auto immune disorders (section 9) are now classed as clinically vulnerable. The guidance further states that there is no requirement for this group to ‘shield’ and the recommendations are that you continue to socially distance, wear a mask, wash your hands regularly and sanitise frequently touched areas of your home or work place.
Exercise classes and massages will be cancelled throughout lockdown unless massage falls under the umbrella of physiotherapy and is a treatment for a clinical need.
We are currently seeking a new venue in Fishponds as Xercise 4 Less Gym will be closed from tomorrow.
We thank you for your continued support and patience through this difficult time.
